OK all, have done almost everything to the car except marry it. New transmission, New engine, new fuel pump, new fuel pump regulator, new alternator. Question. I am trying to get the lights on the window switches to light up. The from Passengers is fine, drivers side not wrking, and back 2 doors aren't working, or lighting up. Any suggestions. 91 Q

No, I've had a couple go out (lights on swtich) and have the switch go intermittant. The switch continues to work . Sometimes slowly, I just took the cover off the console and sprayed with electronic cleaner seems to work.....................:thumbup

You can take the switches out & you'll see a little bulb assembly locked into the switch. You will need a small screwdriver , & you turn them anti-clockwise about 1/8 of a turn, & then they should fall out.

I got my bulbs at a Wreckers yard. Just check out the later model Jap cars & you will find plenty for nicks. Mine came from a late model Mazda.

Good Luck

You can get the bulbs you need at Radio Shack. They come in a bubble pack two to a pack. They have 1" leads on them. Can't remember the part number. I think that there is also a blue rubber cover on the old bulb that you need to remove and put on the new bulb (reduces the intensity of the emitted light). In the case of the window switches the bulb holder is removed as per Chally's instructions. Just note the arrangement of the bulb leads on the bulb holder for the new bulb.
