Over 55w = fried harness.

Efit: Eh, I looked at it again, the 60 is just for the high beams. It's a stretch. Given such a low price and a no-name brand, I don't trust them to be on spec, so they could burn out your harness anyway.

The other issue is that cheap aftermarket bulbs have a tendency to burn out very quickly, so you'll end up replacing them far too often anyway.

If you want HID's, get HID's. If you just want some clearer bulbs, get Silverstars.

yea thats kind of what i was thinking,What are your thoughts on the tint covers for the headlightshttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVWi know this will drastically reduce the brightness of the headlights but if i get the silverstars will this eliminate or at least partially eliminate this problem, i dont really have enough cash for HIDs

I first tried off with some cheapo's that were the cool blue look and had about 100Watts. BAD IDEA. You could feel the heat 2-3 feet away from the actual headlight . Also one of my bulds exploded within 1 hour of use.

Ebay = No return. Luckily the Autozone was nice enough to return them, despite it being burned and shattered.

And the tint. For headlights I would say no go. On the tail lights are another story. Don't comprimise the safety of your car just for a cool look.

One last thing, there is a tint spray in a bottle, VHT Night Shade, people have had good luck with it. You can choose your shade. But it takes many many coats. And its only 10 dollars.

Silverstars FTW

I haven't heard many complaints about loss of brightness from people with overlays.

That said, it's illegal in some places, so you'll want to check local and state laws first.

I've heard a few, not many though. But lets be honest, how many DD cars do you see with tinted headlights? My only advice would be just take it easy with the spray. It WILL take more than 5 coats to get a tint. And it does smell very bad(do outside)

dont buy those lights, i had a similar pair and they the high beam went within 2 weeks then both bulbs went within a month, its a waste of money

just save your money and buy a legit HID kit if you want blue lights
