I would like to replace the light bulb on above the license plate with LED. Does anyone know how to do that? and what kind of LED I should get?

Sorry that this is kind of off topic, but since you brought up the lights above the license plate, is it legal to disable them? Or is it required by law when driving at night?

I am not that familiar with LEDs, but I want to put LED on license plate light. Where can I get that 5w 2J8 at? any good sites? I need to get LED bulbs, right?

You will need one pair T15 LED bulbs for its license plate lights.

You can get it at http://www.iJDMTOY.com or his ebay store at http://stores.ebay.com/JDM-Auto-Light.

I wonder if it's legal to have a non-white color, like the blue lights others have linked to in this thread? The law on this is likely to vary state by state, but anything that makes it hard to read your plates is going to increase your chances of getting harassed by your local boys in blue, regardless of specific legalities.

The Xenon White is legal 50 states. just like the IS350's xenon white ones.

Generally avoid blue and red. Those are reserved colors for emergency vehicles and brake lights.

Some states don't like anything but white. But, most certainly, check your local regulations.
