the reason i ask over and over is becuase on my previous car, which was a Galant i put after market hyperwhite or superwhite lightbulbs and it messed up my alternator.... i dont want that same problem to occur again..audtatious wrote:Aftermarket bulbs will work fine. Just get the appropriate size and you should be "good to go". I replaced the bulbs in my fiances Cougar with Eurolight Fusions and it works great. I am also using Fusions for high beams in my Max.
i think that was the mistake i made, my galant wasnt capable of handling the bulbs i put in. it messed up the alternator and also my battery was spilling acid.....audtatious wrote:You should have no issues with the I30 by upgrading the bulbs as long as you stay within the same wattage as the factory bulbs (most are). The only issues I have seen with harness problems was due to people putting 85w bulbs in place of the 55w factory bulbs which caused the harness for the fog lights to melt.
will do, does the brand make a difference? for as long as its 9400 im ok.audtatious wrote:Check some of our sponsors and see if they have them.
i didnt see any 'fusions'audtatious wrote:I would look around for reviews. Fusions are fine, but only last a year (or less).
yes i see them, the watts are different...on these its 65/45the ones i got were 80/100audtatious wrote:Do a google for "Eurolite Fusion" and you will find tons of hits... These suckers are very white @4500k.
hrm utoh! i got the 80/100 will that cause any problems??audtatious wrote:65/45 is the factory wattage. 80/100 will use more power, but give more light output.
damn where were you 2-3 weeks ago, i placed an order on the 27th i believe and they FINALLY sent me an email saying the expected delivery date is the 14th!!! very upsetkenchin wrote:I already had a lights replacement twice(my Dad's car and mine) but luckily it didn't gave me any problems. I found nice looking lights from a local dealer in CA area, it's Car Parts Napa, I did not have to wait long for it's shipment.
