Now now, we were new once too. But seriously, use the search function. No, they do not lower torque, they will just let the engine spin up quicker, and not loose HP turning the flywheel since it is of lower inertia. It would be good for drifting as it will help you break tires loose faster. If you get one, you better get good at driving stick, because you are going to kill it a lot more leaving lights. Also, kiss your mileage goodbye. With less inertia comes more required energy to keep it turning at a constant rate, this comes from fuel. Also, the engine will spin down as quickly as it spins up. But I will be getting one soon, because I want a car that revs like a bike (a flywheel alone will not make this happen, so don't expect it), and it's a cheap mod (for me at least).
