Hi guys i was wondering if someone could help me out with some questions i had about swapping some lights on my M35 sport...

I wanted to change my stock HID bulb to a 6000k HID replacement bulb and was wondering if it would be a plug and play situation or would i have to get a whole new kit with ballast? This is what bulb i want to change stock HID to:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

Also i want to change the little Bulb in my High beam to a led blue light would this light fit:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

And the Foggers i would like to change to Leds also i am thinking about getting these:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

Thanks in advance.

your stock bulb is at 4300k. that is the best light possible.as you move up the light spectrum(increase in heat ie 6000k 10000k) you lose distance that the light travels to light the road.

Also i want to change the little Bulb in my High beam to a led blue light would this light fit:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

well here is what the v-leds site said "These bulbs are intended for use as a Day Time Running light or for aesthetic purposes only. They are a great match for HID headlights but not intended to be used as a primary source of light. " SO you will still have your High Beam bulb in place and just want to change the 'accent bulb' . just an fyi, high beams and low beams are concidered "PRIMARY LIGHT SOURCE" on a car. parking lamps, fog lamps and turn signals are NON_PRIMARY.

And the Foggers i would like to change to Leds also i am thinking about getting these:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

Thanks in advance.

umm its just changing the low beam to 6000k instead of 4200k to get a whiteish blue look and for the high beam bulb im talking about isnt the accually high beam bulb itself im talking about the little tiny bulb in the housing. What i asked was if the 6000k HID bulb would simply replace the stock bulb or would i need to get a new hid kit with a new ballast or would it just be as easy as swapping the bulbs.

And as far as the foggers go i already have aftermarket led foggers in my car and there not that bright the reason im getting a whole new set is cause i want everything to simply match and look good.

I would like to change my bulbs out as well. That blue color in the photo above only reminds me of the little ricer guys running around in their multi-colored lighted contraption called a lowered high and low winged Civic about to take off into the air..... Meaning the ground effects & wing package they chose are more suited for an aircraft (that's actually fast)!Possibly change out the high beam bulbs and the fog light bulbs only though. I won't change these unless I know there are some bulbs on the market that will match the color of my OE HID's.Any suggestions guys?

No you do not have to replace the entire systems, the D2S ( i believe that is the model number on your bulb) comes in variuos "heat ranges".but as you move up the 'heat scale' the light produced loses distance.that why most sites list the 'color chart' . then they can say 'well the chart was there judge, he knew that it was just for the color and not for better lighting"

sorry for the missunderstnding on the bulb you want to replace in the high beam lamp.

Does anyone know of the best high beam bulb replacement that would come close to matching the color of the OE HID lamps? A high beam bulb that would emit a brighter more visible light as well.

For the fogs I found these PIAA H11 fog light replacement bulbs: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H11.htmlAlso the PIAA 9005 Extreme White Plus high beam replacement bulb: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-9000.htmlThe Extreme White Plus would probably come close to matching the OE HID lamps. What do you guys think? I would hate to spend $150 on bulbs and their not close enough to the OE HID lamps color.Any better or well known solutions that work?

I think the only way to really match is to upgrade to HID - I know not what you want to hear, but not matter how "white" the halogen bulbs are, they will always look yellow compared to HID.

with the cost of decent HID kits under $200, that would seem to be a better route for you to match your OEM headlights. for a match keep the kev rating at 43k to 5k

I hear ya. Though I don't think I would replace my high beams with HID. I mean, how often do we really use them?I would be afraid that an HID fog light kit would get too hot for the OE housing. I could be all wrong since I've never really used a HID "kit".What do you have to replace? Does the HID bulb go into the exact same spot the halogen bulb was in without modifications?Someone please educate me on HID conversions please.

Boss05 -The picture that you are referencing above is a picture that I posted for my car and honestly the lights that I used were the white LEDs and not the blue. The lights are a lot whiter than that picture but there is still a blue hue to the white light. For some reason your links are not working for me but I did order from V-LED and if you wanted a blue version of the lights that I used pick any bulb from this link :

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...num/2

As for the foggers I didn't change that out yet and I'm considering switching to and HID yellow.

If your looking for more info and maybe a coupon code take a look at my original thread. Just do a search on " LED Conversion" topic

Hope this helps

HID runs cooler than halogen, so no worries on over heating like halogen bulbs which usually require much higher voltage bulbs to get that "white"

the Halogen bulbs in our fogs are H11. Just get a HID kit that is H11, it will just easily plug in the slot - same as the halogen. The fog kit will require you to wire a couple ballasts and a connection to the battery. Make sure the hid kit is water proof as water may be in contact in that area (most quality kits are water proof)

I have aftermarket fog lights and a HID fog kit so my beam is better. When I had the HID in the fogs with the OEM housing the light was very good but the light was not aimed as well. Still lit up everything good but I noticed the light would reflect off the ground more... did not have any issues with blinding as lights are low.

I used a 5k kit to keep as OEM as possible but wanted more "white"

Could you post close up pics of your aftermarket fog lights in the daylight. I doubt I would do it if I have to modify the car to adapt them, but would like to see what they look like.

I had the HID fog kit installed and used on our OEM front bumper with no problem - it fit, it worked - you will not need to modify the car to have HID fogs - I did not.

Now I just have an aftermarket bumper so the fog housing is different and I notice a better aim

got the kit from...

http://www.XenonDepot.com

ask for Steve, he is a good guy. I picked up the H11 5000K bulb kit, to keep it OEM looking and to have as much optimal light as possible.

As this is a HID kit you will need to power it up, the HID bulbs will not run on the halogen wires. It is a simple install - I did not do it. the HID H11 bulbs will fit into the OEM fog housing easy, you just need to run ballasts, the wires, HID bulb that all come with the kit...
