your stock bulb is at 4300k. that is the best light possible.as you move up the light spectrum(increase in heat ie 6000k 10000k) you lose distance that the light travels to light the road.
Also i want to change the little Bulb in my High beam to a led blue light would this light fit:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481
well here is what the v-leds site said "These bulbs are intended for use as a Day Time Running light or for aesthetic purposes only. They are a great match for HID headlights but not intended to be used as a primary source of light. " SO you will still have your High Beam bulb in place and just want to change the 'accent bulb' . just an fyi, high beams and low beams are concidered "PRIMARY LIGHT SOURCE" on a car. parking lamps, fog lamps and turn signals are NON_PRIMARY.
And the Foggers i would like to change to Leds also i am thinking about getting these:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481
Thanks in advance.
I think the only way to really match is to upgrade to HID - I know not what you want to hear, but not matter how "white" the halogen bulbs are, they will always look yellow compared to HID.M4T5 wrote:For the fogs I found these PIAA H11 fog light replacement bulbs: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H11.htmlAlso the PIAA 9005 Extreme White Plus high beam replacement bulb: http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-9000.htmlThe Extreme White Plus would probably come close to matching the OE HID lamps. What do you guys think? I would hate to spend $150 on bulbs and their not close enough to the OE HID lamps color.Any better or well known solutions that work?

I hear ya. Though I don't think I would replace my high beams with HID. I mean, how often do we really use them?I would be afraid that an HID fog light kit would get too hot for the OE housing. I could be all wrong since I've never really used a HID "kit".What do you have to replace? Does the HID bulb go into the exact same spot the halogen bulb was in without modifications?Someone please educate me on HID conversions please.lawman12 wrote:

with the cost of decent HID kits under $200, that would seem to be a better route for you to match your OEM headlights. for a match keep the kev rating at 43k to 5k
Boss05 -The picture that you are referencing above is a picture that I posted for my car and honestly the lights that I used were the white LEDs and not the blue. The lights are a lot whiter than that picture but there is still a blue hue to the white light. For some reason your links are not working for me but I did order from V-LED and if you wanted a blue version of the lights that I used pick any bulb from this link :Boss05 wrote:Is there anyone that can help me with this....?
Also i want to change the little Bulb in my High beam housing (not the high beam bulb itself) to a led blue light would this light fit?:http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481(TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURE ABOVE IN THIS TOPIC TO SEE WHAT I MEAN BY THIS)

The site says all these have a 6000k color temp i dont want it to match in brightness BECAUSE i already no theses bulbs can match an HID bulbs brightness i just want the color to match and dont want any of thoses cheap bulbs with the blue film on them
HID runs cooler than halogen, so no worries on over heating like halogen bulbs which usually require much higher voltage bulbs to get that "white"M4T5 wrote:I hear ya. Could you post close up pics of your aftermarket fog lights in the daylight. I doubt I would do it if I have to modify the car to adapt them, but would like to see what they look like.lawman12 wrote:

the Halogen bulbs in our fogs are H11. Just get a HID kit that is H11, it will just easily plug in the slot - same as the halogen. The fog kit will require you to wire a couple ballasts and a connection to the battery. Make sure the hid kit is water proof as water may be in contact in that area (most quality kits are water proof)
I have aftermarket fog lights and a HID fog kit so my beam is better. When I had the HID in the fogs with the OEM housing the light was very good but the light was not aimed as well. Still lit up everything good but I noticed the light would reflect off the ground more... did not have any issues with blinding as lights are low.
I used a 5k kit to keep as OEM as possible but wanted more "white"
I had the HID fog kit installed and used on our OEM front bumper with no problem - it fit, it worked - you will not need to modify the car to have HID fogs - I did not.M4T5 wrote:Could you post close up pics of your aftermarket fog lights in the daylight.
