Sorry, but I should have replied about a week ago. After my timing was done, I noticed that the squeaking got worse when it was cold outside. So instead of taking the car back to the repair shop (because I didn't have the time), I jacked the car up myself and adjusted the alternator tesionor and that fixed the problem.
To make the judgement of the squeaking easier (since the squeaking was bad when the car was cold) I adjusted the alternator tensionor early in the morning when I was sure that the car was cold. And when the car didn't squeak, problem fixed.
To fix my squeaking, I adjusted the belt by turning the tesionor bolt clockwise for about two complete turns and that fixed the problem.
Hope you fix yours,
Geoffrey.
