Alright my drivers side back light has a leak I guess because I see little bubbles inside there and on the right side there is none...is this under warrenty? My versa is still 100% completly stock. Plus I would want to know before I bring a war on nissan because I know how they like to blame the problem on everything else but them...

mine had the same problem, I noticed it in March, and its now November and the part still is not in stock or available to my dealer claims, but mine was covered under warrenty because it has a bad seal.

Mine had the same problem before I even picked it up at the dealer. After agreeing on the price, the salesman brought the car around for me to see and let me copy down the VIN # and I did a once around to check out the cars condition. What saw was a serious amount of condensation inside the right rear tail light.

I mentioned this to him and he said "oh that's b/c I parked it under a tree and there was a lot of rain the other day. I asked him "Well, call me old fashioned, but aren't cars supposed to be water resistant to rain... well shouldn't a brand new car with 10 miles on it not have a leak in it.???"

I insisted and he brought it over to the repair shop and the mechanic told me that the WHOLE tail light had to be replaced b/c it is one whole unit. It was ready for me when I took delivery of the car 3 days later. So, they did it and so far it is fine.

Get it replaced under warranty, do NOT let them tell you that they'll repair it. Also, ask to see the old light that had the leak after they install the new one.

There should be no reason that a tail light assembly should not be available. That was actually the EASIEST part to get of all the parts replaced when my V got smashed last October.

what Charly said is right, though. They need to replace it, and don't take no for an answer.

I'm not familiar with the geography of california, but if you're anywhere near West Covina, you might want to go to West Covina Nissan, as they rock.

So I went to my closest Nissan dealership here on Saturday, which is Buena Park. Talked to some Service Advisor named Tod, he told me that they don't have the tail light in stock that they have to order it. Said ok then left. Got a phone call today that they got it and I have an appointment this Saturday to get it installed. Should be fun and so far I have nothing to complain about them....yet.
