light inside leopard not coming on no more

i have a problem with the lights insdie my leopard/j30. Whenever i put on my head light there use to bean down a small light unto the gear shift all of a sudden it stop shinnig. it only comes on when i put on all the inside light in the car. I took a picture of it to show what i mean. It is the small light in the middle of the two light this light use to come on by itslef when the head light where on. It was very nice to see it and i miss it can i get it back any ideas thanks

On mine theres a small button that toggles the map light off and on.Have you tried that ?

no i have not tried that where is that switch located and is "map light" it is the small light in the middle of the two big light if you can tell me where this toggle switch is i woul dbe so happy thanks

Its a small rectangular button right beside the light.From looking at your picture its not the same as mine.

There should be a button for it somewhere ??

yea the only button thast there does put on the right and lift side lights in the car. Then there is a switch that puts on all the lights in the car or it can set the light to come on when the door opens. I am wondering if there is a seperate bulb for that if so that would mean there are 3 bulb in that front part. one for the driver side and one for the passenger side and one for the Center "Map light" what you think do that make sense and if so why do the light come on when i set the switch to put on all lights in the inside of the car (see photo above). This is strange but i love the help thanks

It is a seperate bulb , at least on mine.Im putting in a Blue LED soon Already have all the inside door an floorboard lights converted to ultra bright 12 V blue led's.

wow that sounds like it will make my inside look good. i already have a blue light in there that comes from my power amp remote turn on. How do i change my lights to blue also. My next question is though if you look at the picture i posted i will see the middle light on or is it the reflection of the other lights beside it why it looks like it on let me know. i will change all my lights to blue too i love that colour but would the blue light give the same brightness like the ones in now. Also what type/size/watts bulbs do i need to change all light in the inside of the car?

i noticed theres a switch(maybe) right between the two lights there. like a slider switch, i think. what does that do??

that switch is use to set thee posotion so that the light are all off, all on or set to come on when a doot opens. i know the leopard is not the same but pretty bloody close i tell you. Most of the instruction match the leopard like the J30

Yeh, no special visor for behind the mirror, neener neener neener. Does the lamp bezel itself work as the on/off switch? Datsun used to be keen on those kind of tricks (like the roadster map light lens being the switch).
