Last year I changed my factory HID bulbs to an aftermarket bulb (6K) to match my HID foggies. Things were working and looking great. Recently however, my passenger side light has been going out. If I notice it and flick the lights on and off again, it comes back on. Now this usually happens when I drive over bumpy roads. I wonder, is this a ballast issue or a bulb issue ? If it is a ballast issue, what do you recommend I do ? If this is a bulb issue, I can just order some new ones so that's no worry. Thanks guys

have you check the connections to see if you have a loose ballest to the bulb?

Nah. I just really noticed it today. It happened once or twice before but today it happened like 3 time times in a 15 minute drive. The streets here do suck so I am hoping it is just lose. I am not really the car savvy dude. When I took it to the shop to have them put the bulbs in, it was a pain in the a** to get the headlight out. I wouldn't even know where to look for a ballast

You took the whole headlight out? Its easier to just take off your wheel and remove the under carriage covers. Above the tire is 2 different pieces, all you have to do is remove the front one towards the bumper and some various bolts underneath the bumper, takes about 10-15 minutes to remove

So how did you tighten the connection ? Did you secure it with electrical tape ? Once it was secured, did that stop ?

its probably the end part from the ballest to the bulb connection, that sounds like the part that may not be secure on, don't think you would need electrical tape for it, just need to make sure the bulb is locked in securely in the headlight assembly (there should be a metal hook type deal to lock it in place) then make sure the connection cable is securely locked into place. (may need to do a slight tug on it to make sure its on there good)

Im going back to the place that installs my stuff for me for something on Wednesday. I'll probably just have them take a look at it then. I'll keep you posted though. But thanks for the info
