light flashing on dash?

sorry guys for all the dumb Q's on my 05 track there is a red blinking light on top of the seat belt not on light and the symbol looks like a guy setting down sideways w/a ball in he's lap and just started blinking to day and has not turned off the car runs fine and i havent done or touched any thing i dnt have a scan tool tool to get the code and its an 05 so i dnt have warrenty any one have any clues on what the problem is and if its serious so i can take it in? thanks every one 4 any help u can offer.

That's the airbag icon. You're gonna have to figure out what the blinking translates to. I know that when it's solid, airbag is nonfunctional, however i have never encountered a blinking one. Good luck!

go to nissan right away blinking means that ur airbags and seat belt pretensioner will not or malfunction in an accident.

when u start ur car it comes on for 7 seconds if it dosent come on durring thoses 7 seconds or blinks and never goes off or stays lit and never goes off it all means the same thing its all explained in that nice book they gave u when u got ur car on 1-43

I've never thought of it that way, but it is technically an accurate way to describe the airbag icon. Hope you got your airbag taken care of.

hahahaha thats exactly the way my wife explained to me what happened when ours came on a couple of weeks ago!!. i checked with my local mechanic and he told me he could diagnose it, but it would take awhile to check all the associated sensors. so i will probably just take it to the dealer. oh and good job richie, thats exactly what the manual says.

I beliee if you go to the dealer it's free repair as long as they havn't been deployed
