Doing my first oil change on my 2013 M37s (RWD). I actually have a real lift in my garage but all my other cars have frame points to lift from. It looks like the M37 wants to be lifted by the pinch welds (where the jack would go) and I don't see any other obvious spots to use.

Am I reading this correctly? If so, do you guys use any particular adapter on the pinch weld to make the lifting safer? The slotted hockey pucks don't look particularly safe.

I was looking at these: http://www.zl1addons.com/index.php/prod ... cus-detail

If any of you have the factory shop manual, does it show any other spots?

I lifted the front from the subframe, or rather at the front cross bar. I do have the shop manual in pdf if you want to PM me for a link.

Thanks. I would like to look at the shop manual. But it won't let me PM you (guess I'm too new to the forum and haven't posted enough). I don't know whether you can PM it to me.

Got it, thanks. Will go through it and see if there is anything I can find. If so, I'll post.

After perusing the shop manual, they recommend only lifting at the pinch weld points. Lift manufacturers call the adapter a "luxury car lift adapter."
