Please help...

When it rains a little or a lot, water gets in the liftgate molding around the glass; a small a mount of water will leak from both sides. During this process, I am not able to open or close the liftgate. Once the liftgate dries, I am able to open and close the liftgate.

Also, there is this annoying constant beep from the right hand side of the liftgate.

If anyone knows how to disconnect the beep/sound, please advise. Also, how can I determine how and where this water is coming from. The molding around the glass is in good condition. I have a video.

Did you ever get a solution to this? My liftgate (2014 Armada) just started doing the same thing. It’s coming in from the upper part of the liftgate and leaking into the center molding piece. From there it drips all over, some of it down the rear glass making it *look* like it’s leaking from there even though it’s not.

Check the gasketing on the high brake lamp. Also, make sure the cables for the rear defogger aren't simply getting trapped between the window gasket and the pane. That's very common on gen1 Armadas and will make the window leak like crazy.

I have the same issue. I read on a separate forum that you need to take off your gasket and soak in water/green cleaning solution, clean, dry and re-attach. I will try this when temps rise.

For me, it turned out that one of those round gaskets was somehow dislodged. No idea how that happened, and since that water would be outside the main gasket (door belt?) I still am not 100% sure how it was getting in. But was definitely pooling inside the top piece of molding and then dripping down the left side. Really hard to explain. I’ll see if I can post a couple pictures.

Nope just had to pop it back in. It wasn’t damaged, just dislodged.

FWIW, after tearing down the hatch door and surrounding trim, I found one of the upper break light bolts completely off, allowing water to drip into the housing. We'd had the Infinity team look for the leak since purchasing our new QX80 in 2016. They kept saying it was the drainage system getting clogged up. The leak was intermittent and hard to explain, so who knows? And since we live in Texas with little rain and park in the garage, it wasn't overly concerning to us.
