lifter+cam question

Is it ok to use tomei solid lifters with bc 264/264 cams I can get a good deal on the lifters and was wondering if I would run into any problems. Also think I would need 8 lifters?

Yes its ok. You just cant use solid cams on hydraulic lifters because of the steeper ramp of the lobe. At least thats what ive heard.
