So the height of my fenders is 32" front and 34" rear. Almost 150k miles and I'm sure the struts and springs are original. They dont bounce and dont bottom out and car drives normal, but they must be sagging since I dont know why else car would not be level.

I'll be getting new KYB Excel struts from Amazon but cant decide which springs to get:

-$110 from oreillys or autozone
-$170 old man emu that are supposed to give a 0.5" lift
-ome from nissan dealership (will call them up tmrw to see how much those are).

Anybody know how old man emu springs work with 2" strut spacers? Price difference between ome and stock replacements from parts store is only $60.

Just to confirm, you lined up the notch with the R-L letters, or with the strut body? The R-L letters don't really matter much...by virtue of bolting the strut mount plate to the chassis, you can only orient those in two specific ways. Not the case for the upper perch, which should be aligned to the strut body prior to re-assembling the strut (you would not be able to turn it once the mount plates are in their R-L installed positions).

Again, a picture would help, just to be sure.

To answer your other question, should you decide to replace them...I run the OMEs coils and have a lot of praise for them. (I also run their struts; not sure how used they are, but the ride is still good.) When the time comes, I will replace them with another pair. Dealership will want a fortune for OE springs (if they're even available), and Moogs aftermarkets are MUCH cheaper at Rock Auto ($52 after 5% discount).

I got springs at oreillys for $110. Will try to install them tonight and will take pics. I was afraid ome springs plus spacers would give me some freakish 4+ inch lift. I'll see if new springs levels out the car at all.

Yup it is the struts and coils (sagging). Installed a new spring on one side and immediately noticed a difference. New struts coming in the mail from amazon, will install other coil when they get here.

FYI people- if you want a lift and your struts/coils have 100,000+ miles on them, splurge for new struts and coils as well.

Doesn't really explain why the spacers provided no lift originally, but glad it's sorted. These spacers can't affect spring rate.

100K miles on struts and/or springs is beyond maintenance life, but yes, anyone considering a spacer lift should absolutely consider replacing both springs and struts since everything will be disassembled at that time.

There probably was a lift originally, but only 0.5 to 0.75 of an inch. I did not take measurements before so was difficult to notice. I read online that stock fender height is 31.25". Mine were 32" in front after the lift. Saggy springs and struts eat up the lift.

What I meant was that disassembly and reassembly shouldn't have had that effect...it's like they sagged because of assembly, and that shouldn't be possible. But again, all good. That stock height sounds about right.

Post some pics up when all is said and done!
