lift question

so im looking for a lift for my 97 pathfinder. anyone know if this is a good lift? My friend has the same one and he says that the struts blow out quite frequently

F*ck the Rancho struts! Get the KYB GR-2 struts. And by "blow out" do you mean that they top out? If so, then thats just part of having the lift & you either have to get used to it or don't get the lift.

Go ahead & get new OEM stut tower mounts (only get the Nissan factory ones not the KYB ones though) & think about getting poly bushings for the rear as well. Good luck & post some pics when you get done.

could i just use the strut tower mounts from my stock suspension?thanks for the help by the way

You could, but being that its a '97 the mounts are shot-to-sh*t already & will more than likely need to be replaced in a while & since you are going to have it all apart once, while install the new coils & struts up front you might as well go a head & do. Plus if you aren't doing yourself & you're paying someone, then they willusually try to charge an arm & a leg to take all of that apart once, do you really want to pay for that twice?

Trust me, go ahead & do it.
