Yes. This is a spacer lift, commonly used on the R50s/QX4s. The kit comes with 8 total spacers; 4 spacers for the front and 4 for the rear. Each corner of the vehicle uses two spacers (1" x 2) to produce 2"-2.5" of total lift...2.5" because of the angles of the strut (though I'd argue it's a little less than that). It does not require replacing any springs, struts, or shocks, though you may want to consider longer rear shocks.
You'll need to disassemble the strut and modify the strut mount plate. This requires renting spring compressors (generally free from your local auto parts store) or having a shop do it. It's easy if you have some basic mechanical skills. An alignment will be necessary after installation.
The rear installation does not require any special tools per se, but you'll need a floor jack, jack stands (recommend 3), and a good understanding of how to manipulate the suspension to remove the springs. You can use the spring compressors here, but they're not necessary.
