I just bought a 2015 rogue sv today. I got it home and cannot find a way to release the trunk or "liftgate" from the inside and there is not a trunk button on the key fob thing. Is there seriously no way to do this other than opening it manually???? Im really not happy about this if this is the case and really considering taking the car back!!!!

The short answer is you should have upgraded to the SL. Do you really think the dealership will take it back over this issue? If your thinking of using the three day cooling off thing, it doesn't apply to car purchases.

I couldn't afford an SL and really didn't care about any of the other features on it. I shouldn't have to pay thousands of dollars more for a trunk release handle that ever car I've been driving for the last 20+ years has had. Just figured it was a no brainier and never thought about it, like the hood release. Even my key fobs have had it since 1999?!?! Wtf. I don't care about the "power liftgate" but it'd be nice and expected at this point to be able to push a button to "pop the trunk" as I've always done. Just pretty shocked there's no way to do this. Major design flaw.

let me ask you this, if someone is going to be standing back there, and extract items out of the trunk; whats the huge issue if they simply push 1 button? to "unlock" the trunk? you, yourself claimed that you dont need the power-lift gate feature, its the inability to unlock the trunk from within the vehicle.

you do realize, that the trunk acts like a 5th door, right? that clicked the unlock on the door locks, unlocks the trunk as well.... ?

My 2007 Ford Escape didn't have a trunk release inside. I've been in newer cars without it. Basically, deal with it.

If you wanted an interior trunk release so badly, why didn't you look for one before purchasing the car? Any of the packages with the power liftgate do come with a trunk release button to the lower left of the steering wheel. If you don't have the power liftgate, then you will need to open the trunk manually.

I don't have the premium package, just the moonroof package. It's all good, I can deal with it. I just found it odd.

This is my first time on this forum. Why the "attitude" in most replies???? I wasn't rude in my original post, I'd expect the same in a reply. Show a little respect. I mean really???

Enjoy your rogues. I'll go elsewhere if I ever have another question. Thanks to those that were helpful without being rude.
