This past Tuesday the 20th two of my friends were on I-75 going to go camping and visit some family members while they were up there. It was about 10:00 in the morning when their left front tire blew out and my friend that was driving lost control. The car slid off of the road and then began to roll. A person who saw the crash said the the car fliped as many as seven times. My friend that was in the passenger seat ( Nick ) wasnt wearing his seat belt. He was partially ejected out of the window. When the cops and paramedics arrived they pronounced him dead on the scene. My other friend was wearing is seat belt and he just had to get some stitches in his arm. This is a picture of the car So please guys please please wear your seat belt i dont want any one else to have to go to a funeral when it could have been prevented by taking 5 or so seconds to buckle up.

Thanks for listening guys. Nick we love you and miss you so much.

No one's invincible, seatbelts save lives. My friend's dad just passed this past Thursday. Sorry to hear about the loss.

So sorry to hear. I don't understand people who don't wear a seatbelt. I don't let ANYONE ride in my car without a seatbelt, they put it on, or they can walk. Just not worth it.

My condolences, Morph. I hope your post will convince at least one person to put on their seatbelt when they get in the car. It won't change what happened, but saving even one life is a worthy tribute to a fallen friend.

Morph there is one thing you can be asured of. The guy that died didn't die painfully. When your in a car wreck everything is matrix slow and you don't feel pain till after the wreck.

BTW unless the tire was bald and there wasn't a nail in the road he can sue that tire company for $$$. Thats what my friends ex-husband did. Now her kid has mucho money put aside untill he is 18.

The automatic seatbelts that are in 240's can be tough on passengers who aren't used to them. I always make everyone buckle their lap belts, the majority of the time people forget because the shoulder belt makes them think they are completely secured in. I've heard really bad things about what the shoulder belt can do if you don't have a lap belt on (decapitation). My condolances, and remember that it is the driver's responsability to make sure everyone is safely secured.

i have the same rule. people think i'm joking, but when the car doesn't move and i unlock their door...they get the picture.
