I think I first realized the truth of this statement when I wanted to pump my own gas in NJ. Are you supposed to tip the guy who just sprayed 93 octane all over the side of your car?

Edit: Move to PA...take off your front license plate AND pump your own fuel! ;)

jersey is awesome, your gas is cheaper than ours (ours is f'in high these days) and its all full service. I don't tip. are you supposed to? seriously?I didn't know.

we don't even have front tags here in WV. which means all those red light cameras in other states can kiss my ***.lolwe lit one up in VA yesterday.

I was pulled by a cop for having no plate. But the reason he pulled me over was because I didnt let him pull out to the street. He was leaving a Dunkin Donuts of all places.

If you dont want a front plate dont put it on. If a cop pulls you over act surprised say it must of fell off.

nah... **** with his mind. hide one up there sideways that motors down when you push a button. So he pulls you over and says "you got no front plate." and then you hit a button when he isn't looking and say 'bull**** officers, I never roll without my front plate.' and then he walks back up and sees it and gets all confused. Then when he walks away and you get going again, motor it back up. that would be awesome.

I'm very very confused... In NJ, you HAVE to let to service guy pump your gas? Why?! Whats the point?! I don't want some random guy touching my car!

I've never even heard of that before, well, I guess thats because I live in the great state of louisiana...

At least we don't need front place or emission laws!

It's the same way over in Oregon...Full-service all the time. But I do like the absence of sales tax! :)

It is illegal to remove front license plate in CA. If, however, the DMV only sends you one plate in the first plae (and they stopped doing this a long time back), then you are legal. The problem is proving that they only sent you one plate and with new plates, it is unlikely!

Also illegal to remove the front plate in VA. The cop who lives in my court made sure to point that out when I didn't have my plate...:(
