License plate bulb removal?

old topic, but i want to change my license plate light to led. how do i remove the bulb out?

Open the trunk and inside you'll have to remove the trunk hood lining. There's about 8-10 retaining clips which need to be removed. Using a flat-head screwdriver, just insert between the clip and pry up. From there you can just remove with your fingers. Once the lining is out, you can see the back of the plate area. The bulbs are removed by twisting. Don't forget this, just twist them counter-clockwise and pull out. Replace bulb by reversing the process and put everything back together. It's really easy and shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
