I'd want to see the treaty that got us into the UN before giving an answer. Don't know what kind of war powers Congress gave to the President back then, in relation to actions in pursuit of a UN resolution.

Foreign treaties, ratified by Congress and signed by the President, have the same force of law as the Constitution.

Very true, I wouldnt be hurt in the least if we told the UN to take a flying leap.

And the treaty trap is what scares the hell outta me about the Kyoto Treaty, thank God we have yet to sign it, and I pray we never do.

I don't think there's anything scary about the Kyoto treaty.

What? Did I miss something here? Statistically, I'll bet you're wrong. That comment seems like something from Fox News, the news network that places more value on sound bites than on sound analysis, would publish.

I'm not accusing you of being an O'Reilly, but that sure sounds like something he's say. ;)

Tell me I'm wrong here please.
You are not wrong

Greg just gets upset and bent out of shape when I point out the truth to him.
If my memory is correct he was telling us how smart Sarah Palin was and the rest of the tea party wack jobs.

And yes I think he actually believes what he hears on Fox.
When you live in the boonies I think you only get one channel.
I think Keith Olberman should be returning in a few weeks so we can all keep up to date on the news.

And Greg

Thank your son for me for his service to our great country.
I was drafted over 40 years ago so I'm familar with the military.

He's had almost 3 years to right any perceived wrongs. Playing politics with our sons and daughters is horses***.

I could give you a very logical answer but you would not like to hear it.
I'm sure of that.

Actually, you're both wrong. The US military is overwhelmingly conservative.

Hasn't happened yet. I have, however, factually corrected you on several occasions, after which you always run off and hide. Feel free to point out any thread in which you have presented anything other than OPINION to me. I'll wait.

Feel free to find and quote that as well. I'll wait.

Joke is on you. I don't watch TV. Do you always fire blanks, or just here?

You mean the 5-th largest city in the US? Nice try. Let's not forget what state brought us Snooki and the Jersey Shore retards. Related?

Who's going to share it with him? Last I checked, he doesn't leave the studio.

p.s. "Okie"? Really? Screw you.

I don't doubt the military is predominantly comprised of conservatives, but I do wonder if and how much of that is attributed to their beliefs going into the military or as a result of being in the military.

I tried finding some info on this, but ended up getting distracted by this paper. It does talk a bit about the Republican bias in the military and provides a bit of history, but its primary focus is on the professionalism of military officers despite the political bias. It was an interesting read, though it is somewhat old by now.

It is interesting to read the defection of Libyan Air Force pilots ordered to bomb protesters but now have defected. Two Mirage pilots flew to Malta earlier this month. A pretty expensive hit to the Libyan Air Force.

The Arab League has their own forces and jets. Why can't they take care of their own situation instead of France, GB and the US?

They can go F themselves.

Doesn't matter (although I think I could speak to that if needed).

I was simply pointing out yet another inaccuracy by an outspoken (and frequently wrong) Liberal. It's kind of a hobby.

Just bumping this back up for further consideration.

Since when do Liberals make fun of people based on where they live? Hmmmm... What's next, Howie? Gonna dig on my ethnicity? My gender? My faith? The state I was born in? How about the ones I was raised in? Why not? Isn't that the same?

How about a definition of "Okie"? I mean, if you;re gonna use it, you should at least be able to educate us all on what the term means.

See, I get the impression you're a closet racist masquerading as a libby, based on your use of terms like "redneck" and "okie". At least I have the balls to come out and say I generally dislike people from NJ. Hell, my father's from there, as is half his family (he's embarrassed of the place), and I've spent quite a bit of time there.

Having lived in 9 states, and having visited all but 5, I'm quite familiar with people like you... the ones who make broad generalizations based on a lack of knowledge. How much time have you spent in Arizona?

Telco has always looked down his nose at anyone who does not seemingly live in some big blue progressive state. We are to be ignored because we have limited radio to listen to and live in hick-ville. You know, fly over country.

Jersey's a craphole. I never held that against him, however.

It's not the first time he's made an ignorant statement based on his mistaken impression of people and regions.

Wonder what he thinks of people from South Central LA, or the Watts District, or Harlem?
