It places it somewhere between a loaded Altima, Maxima and G35 Sedan.MinisterofDOOM wrote:The IS wouldn't annoy me so much if it wasn't so fantastically over-priced. An IS250 is THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS MSRP!! That's insane. Beyond insane. $30,000 for a 200 hp car?! What the HELL is Lexus smoking?
Its quicker than you think, I believe it is like 7.5 to sixty. Plus, nowadays people might buy it just b/c its "more fuel efficient" than the larger engine model. And it is a Lexus, do you think they would sell any new vehicle at less than 30k?MinisterofDOOM wrote:The S5 is friggin sex. I've seen a few in person, and they're amazing.

THAT is exactly my point. Just because they're Lexus doesn't mean the car is worth $10k more automatically. They might mark it up like it is, but that doesn't mean reality is rushing to keep up with their stupid.hsckris wrote:And it is a Lexus, do you think they would sell any new vehicle at less than 30k?
I guess I just disagree... I think that its a respectable performer (for a Lexus) and it isn't that highly priced. I mean, its not perfect, but there are worse offenders out there IMO. Look at the Germans if you want to talk about prestige pricing.MinisterofDOOM wrote:

And if you want a car that'll put a smile on your face every time you get in it, get something else!Addicted22Speed wrote:The best thing about Lexus is reliability and customer service though, if you want a car that will never break down, buy a Lexus!
