I was wondering if we will be able to put on aftermarket wheels that was made for a 1999 Lexus GS 300 on our 2006 M45. The bolt pattern is the same but the hub and stud is different.

Lexus GS:
Stud Size:12x1.5
Hub/Center Bore:60.1

M45:
Stud Size:12x1.25
Hub/Center Bore:66.1

Will I be okay to run em? Thanks in advance.

Jeff

You'll need to buy hub centric rings to make them fit on your M

I think you would need the hub bore of the wheels machined to be 66.1 mm in diameter.

yep hub would need to be bored out. they only make hub rings to go smaller in diameter.

And that is what makes it possibly unsafe to do.

Not that much is removed in this case, but this can compromise the wheel, its quality and load bearing ... potentially sufficiently that I would rather buy a set of aftermarket wheels with the quality, correct sizes and bolt pattern for a Nissan/Infiniti (if I was in the market to change wheels).

BTW, "spacers are evil" is another thing that I believe in (although not an original comment from me - came from a former Tire Rack expert who used to post in our Wheels forum). :yesnod YMMV, of course ... I simply prefer not to add any extra rotational weight to my car wheels.

Particularly if the spacers are not hub-centric - these can move a bit (since they are effectively only centered by the lug bolts and nuts) and cause unbalance.

Of course, please do remember I tend to stick with OEM wheels too (since I'd rather use my money for performance enhancing purposes for my car - like great tires!), so feel free to take my comments with a grain of "why" salt.
