Because of all the audio gear in my trunk my 240 sits down a bit. An inch or 2.. what is the cheapest way to level it out? My uncle was telling me about coil spacers or something.. would those work here? What would I need to put the rear end of the car up a bit and what is involved in doing this?

It took you 3 days to forget? Lol

What all do you have in there to make it sit that much lower?

Maybe buy lowering springs and only install the front? Only problem with that is that the new springs will probably be stiffer and could make the ride quality all out of whack

hmm not sure if they make coil spacer but they might. If it sags that low your struts may be worn and not strong enough. How much weight are we talkin, pic??

Hmm.. about 250-300 pounds worth. Box + subs is 125, 100 pound battery, and may possibly add another battery soon. Also about to upgrade to 4 subs and a bigger box, which is why I want to level out the car first if possible.

Lots of audio gear.. one huge 3000W Sundown amp, 3 Sundown Audio 8" subs, bigazz box made of 3/4" MDF.. and a 100 pound battery.

Well I went to a car audio meet yesterday and had the car metered and I hit a 137.5 with my setup I listed above :]

Its not crap either. Theres 2 things I like.. going REALLY fast, and music thats way too loud. This car isnt going anywhere fast.. its slow as balls and I've accepted that fact. Even if I turboed it I would gain 80hp at the most and thats still slow to me.. only way I would do that is if I could have a 500-600 hp car.

Besides.. I feed my need for speed with my other hobby, motocross. My 210lb bike with around 50hp feels much faster than my car... and being 15+ft up in the air helps too :chuckle:

Could I just lower the front to even it out? How could that be done as cheap as possible?

Quit smoking weed and buy coilovers.

You will love yourself for it, especially when you can remember where you put the 17mm wrench during install
