letting go of the gas problem

problem: when i go for a drive i let go of the gas pedal to make a turn (actually whenever i let go of the gas pedal) but whenever i do this the car jerks like someone is rocking the car. sort of like engine braking but wayy worse. This happens when i travel at ALL speeds.

can some one tell me the problem with the car.

btw it is a 5 speed manual transmission.

is it the driveshaft? catalytic converter?

Does it clunk from the rear or under you when you first let out the clutch to start off???

Sounds like a bad U joint to me for some reason.
