I wrote to them about my window problem and didnt get much of a response. They couldnt do anything about it.

My driver seat has two indents in them ( from my *** cheeks) because of the water damage to the leather. The passenger seat is beginnning to fold inwards as well, but it "cant" be replace because it is "normal" until it looks like my driver seat. ( Which is being replaced btw, (4-8 months) parts coming from japan).

Im just waiting for my interior to fall apart.. Their not doing crap about it.

Have there really been that many issues w/ the coupes? The only thing I've noticed thus far is the rattling everyone claims about in the driverside door, but knock on wood nothing else.

Buying the first generation of any model is a calculated risk... I speculate that the Accord coupe has some 1st gen issues as well.

In so far, however, I have had no problems whatsoever with my A/C. No rattle, to heatshield, nothing. Guess I'm just lucky for a change?

My point is that these issues are the price one has to pay when buying a 1st generation. The plus side is that it's brand new, the body won't be updated any time soon, and there are not that many out there yet.

Guess you just have to weigh those factors against each other?

Does anyone have the address / phone for Nissan USA customer support?

Here are the only issues I have had thus far ...

1. The dealership I bought it at claims I need the headliner replaced because the velcro that holds it snug with the moon roof basically heated up over the summer and hot glue came undone and the little piece of metal wedge that clamps it closed came out so now it sags in the middle where the dome lights/sun glass holder is (not noticeable really unless looking down from outside the car). They claim it can't just be re-glued because it will simply come undone again.

The dealership had very BAD support and took MONTHS to call me back. I've more or less lost faith in them and don't even really want to go back there. But now 4.5 months after they initially looking at it they finally called me just before Christmas to tell me that they had the headliner. I am very weary of getting the headliner replaced because of all that has to be done for it to begin with. But with the added negative feeling I get from there lack of responsiveness it makes me feel like ... (Why would I want them to do it ... What if there are problems ... Will they ever get fixed?).

2. I do have a creaky/squeaky something noise in the passenger side door. It only occurs when no one is sitting there (putting pressure on the door). So if if I am driving long highway distances it will make noise and bug the hell out of me. If I turn the music up loud to try and simply ignore it it actually gets worst (I assume from the vibration of the speaker!).

3. The passenger side seatbelt has to remained buckled at all times otherwise it will make some rattling noise that just gets on my nerves.

4. When the weather turned cold I do get a creaky sound out of the passenger side front pillar. It only occurs when I hit bumps, etc. That might just be the plastic being more ridged. Entirely hard to tell of course but it can become annoying like everything else.

Other then these few seemingly simple issues I've had NO mechanical issues thus far and have LOVED this car. By far the best car I've ever owned. I assume when it's time for the next car I will look towards Infiniti. :-) That is if my few minor problems with this are cleared up and I don't end up having more and or bigger ones down the road. ;-)

I haven't had many issues with my Coupe. I do have the rattle from the engine compartment that they say is a heat shield... my only other complaint is it sounds sick when the engine is cold. There's a knocking sound, which I doubt is spark knock since I heard it even with a tank of Shell 93 octane. Sounds more like piston slap to me. The valve train is also very noisy when cold.

It's been fixed for almost a couple months now, but the new headliner is still not 100% fixed. There is still some sag at the domelight area at the rear of the sunroof...and I still get minor vibration sounds from the headliner above the passenger seat next to the sunroof....very annoying....

Goodluck..

well i've had my problems with my altima coupe, but i did not write a letter to Nissan. WEll i sorta did, i went to nissanusa.com, and went to "contact us" and if you look at the bottom it says "send us a message" and you enter your name and vehicle VIN number. I got an email response, after a few "no progress" emails they gave me a claim number, and a number to call. (1 800 647 7261) I called, then they gave me a regional specialist who will call me the next business day, (monday).
