So a while ago i had picked up a s14 rolling shell with a blown motor. tore it apart, found a crap ton of rust and decided at this point in my life it was not the project i was looking for. I parted most of it out, and already wanted another one. So her she is, my new pride and joy. Picked her up a few days ago.

She needs work obliviously. Interior is decent, putting my s14 fronts in soon. drove her home with 3 cylinders, barley any brakes. and no oil. Fixed the cylinder (bad injector), all new plugs, cap and rotor, oil change and removed the idiotically dark tints in the front. My friend told me my calipers were seized up and did the honors of getting them unsiezed. E brake barley works. The back end is pushed in, going to pull it out using a come-along. New tails, driver side door handle(broken as hell right now) rear valance and power mirrors(one is tapped together) were included with the sale. i picked her up for 2150. She has a timing rattle which im trying to figure out if its from low oil pressure(she smokes a bit) has a 146k on the odo.

the plan is to check the guides, but i figure the smoke and lack of oil could be a sign of something bigger. and shhhh about the mudflaps :naughty:

Thanks man. its a little more rough then it looks, i just go those angles down like a fat girl on facebook. Doing brakes today as long as theyre in stock. S14 seats, removing the rest of the tint goo today as well. Hopefully ordering a short shifter soon the stock one makes me want to kill babies

Is it me or does $2200 seem like a little much for the problems. Before you buy any aftermarket parts, I'd would look it over reeeaaal good. Definantly change or remove the timing guides and maybe add a little lucas oil in the next oil change to keep it from smoking. Hopefully it had oil at one point, that could mean bad news shortly. If the brakes were really siezed up hard, I wouldnt trust them either. Safelty is number 1.

Other than that I think the body is decent. That dent isnt as bad as I thought. Alittle bit of work and maybe paint if you want can fix that just right. You can find all the parts you need easily either here or new, for cheap. Good luck with it all.

It had oil when i checked it out, which is a bit of concern, but honestly the motor doesnt need to live very long. it got the car home and thats what matters. i have a daily. I will look into the lucas oil aswell. The brakes werent too bad, the driver side rear caliper made need replacing. we installed the new front brakes today, getting at the rears tomorrow. i dont feel 2200 was too much for the car, it has a few small rust spots, here in NJ 240s in good condition are a rarity.

Sorry, didn't mean to be so critical about it now that I reread it. I wouldn't say it sounds like you got ripped or nothin.

i know thats what it is, its the marble-in-engine sound. We're taking them off next weekend. Waiting on stupid advanced auto to get me my rear calipers. front is all good, new pads new rotors, back has new rotors pads and getting calipers.

as i was doing so, i found things such as broken glass(back window had to be shattered at one point), half of a joint... you know the usual. tore apart the carpet because it was wet and smelled like mildew. cool.

i left the dash in so i didnt get the whole carpet out, but i got most of it out. debating on sanding down the interior and painting it, or just getting a new carpet. just ordered coilovers off one of the guys on here, also got my nismo hub in(no pics yet)
