1) Have a better price
2) Be at equal or (preferably) better quality
3) Not overcharge on shipping
The question is - can you do all of that and still make a profit of it?![]()
If you can then you'll definitely see interest in your product.
Thanks for the info guy. In terms of pricing, this is something that would be determined once a few prototypes are made. In terms of quality, this is something we take very seriously. We strive to be better than OEM wherever possible.InfinitiEric wrote:In comparison to the OEM harnesses yours has to…

Right now we are just looking into RB25 and RB26 swap harnesses.Z32TT wrote:You would be doing a good thing, especially OEM replacements. One of the main problems with z32's today are the harnesses are old, brittle, and usually always need replacing, especially the earlier z32's (90-92). If you're priciing is way better than OEM Ill probably be in. Also are you only making swap over harnesses for rb's or other motors as well? (1jz, 2jz's etc..)

As far as this, I've seen an RB26 swapped Z. He had to cut a hole in the nose panel to fit the cam gear covers. That engine is very longggggg, and requires a ton of modification to fit properly into a Z32. An RB25 may have a better chance, seeing as it even uses the same trans, but that's still a very long engine.Wiring Specialties wrote: Right now we are just looking into RB25 and RB26 swap harnesses.
Exactly. If you make a harness for the VH45 let me know asap so I could buy it.Ace2cool wrote:As far as this, I've seen an RB26 swapped Z. The VH45 is a much more common swap to do on a Z32. Some people want 300 N/A hp, and for that, the VH is the way to go. I'd look more into developing something like that.
By far, your biggest market is gonna come from N/A->TT conversions, and special order harnesses (for instance, early style harness with option of updated PTU; Switched injector voltage mod with new style/ old style injector clips, ect, ect....) All the options of the harnesses i listed would be easily interchangeable during production, and could let people "custom order" their harness to the way they want their engine to be set up, without any cutting or splicing of the harness.
Keep throwing out ideas, everyone!
If you made a harness I'm willing to bet it would be a more popular swap, I thought about it for a while and there are several others on here that have been thinking about it. A few have their engines but haven't heard much out of them since. My vote is definitely for the RB harness but I'm bias because I have one but dont leave the VH out of the lineup.Wiring Specialties wrote:We did not really think of the VH45 as a swap choice. How popular of a swap is this for the Z crowd?
And thanks again for feedback everyone.
