I will be due in the Tires department by the end of the year for my 12 M37x 245/50-18"

I bought the car with new Kumho Ecsta 4X that I'm not too happy about. Now, I've been looking at two different tires as a replacement option
Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js ... toModClar=

Pirelli's Cinturato P7 https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js ... toModClar=

Both look to be really good tires with close to the same specs. Wondering what you guys think about those two or if I should consider another set too?

I would love to do a summer tire but cold conditions and a lot of rain and snow prevents me from doing so.

I just installed the Pirelli p7's and love them so far. Quiet, responsive handling and good wet traction. Don't know about snow I just put em on.

I've ran the P7's in NY winters and NY summers and they are great. I'm on my 2nd set.

How long does a set normally last you Ilya?

I just went through the same process a few weeks ago.

I had Yokohama Avid Envigor Tires on there and they were absolute garbage. There was still >50% tread left on them but I could no longer stand the ride. Tires were feathered and could never be balanced properly. The wheels/tires have been aligned and balanced twice a year when summer and winter tires get swapped.

Just put Pirelli Cinterato P7 All Season Plus on there and so for they seem great. The tires are quite and really responsive for a grand touring all season. It has only been a few weeks though so time will tell.

I struggled for a while with what tires to put on the car, I really wanted michelin pilot super sports but that isn't an option for the 18" wheels (apparently this is a somewhat oddball size) unless you wanted a slightly shorter sidewall (245/45R18). The other option is to buy a set of sport wheels (or after market) and get tires for that. There seems to be far more tire options for the 20" wheels.

Good luck.

I got 28,087 out of my first set...but I have to add that I drive my car hard. Lots of spirited driving, exit ramps at near tire squealing speeds (and sometimes at tire squealing speeds as I try to find the limit lol), attempted burnouts/tail whips while leaving the car wash with wet tires or in the rain while inside traffic circles (DAMN YOU AWD!!!!), take offs from a dig, etc.

If I drove like my father or newly licensed wife-to-be, I'd probably get 40k easy out of them. Probably more.

Couple thoughts; First of all I loath that 245/50 tire size on this car. It's just way too squishy in the turns with the size and weight of this car. I highly recommend to get some 20" wheels either OEM sport or similar. That said, I ran Yokohama summer tires for a long time and didn't have any issues in the wet or snow. I've recently started switching to Toyo summer tires for a little wider size 255/40 and those have been great as well. The awd on these cars is too good. Like Ilya said it's real hard to break this thing loose when you are trying to get a little sideways even with traction control turned off.

Yeah, we don't have that many options on 245/50-18" and by the look and going on what you guys are saying, the P7's look to be the way to go for the most part.

What is crazy is the price difference, 245/50 is not a very common tire. Pirelli's Cinturato P7 for our cars go for $193 each, I found them for 235/40-18" at $98 in Amazon lol But we can't use them. My plan is to run GTR R35 wheels at one point. I like the Sport wheels but I don't want to be like every M sport model and R35's are a good option for me. maybe next year I will get them and at that point I will run snow tires in the 18"s and Summer tires with the 20"s

Check the offset on those R35 wheels. Also I think you will need 4 front wheels from a GTR to fit at all. I could be wrong but I don't the rear GTR wheels fit. I recall seeing 1 M with GTR wheels but I'm pretty sure they were all front wheels.
