You should do a S13 SR20DET swap :) . I'm thinking about going that route with my 94 vert. Lots of pics and video would help me out a lot. That's just me being selfish, if I had the money and expertise I would spring for a RB20 or RB25 though.

Probably a stupid question, but, in theory, could you fit a RB26DETT under the hood of a 240SX. Has anyone tried or done this?

New guy here, what kinda car does a 2jz come out of and what kinda motor is it / what kinda power does it make?

Trying to do lots of research before I buy a car this time, and a 240SX is looking nice.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're going to come in here with that kind of "you name it, I can do anything" attitude, then you better be prepared to do something pretty unique with you project. So as far as engines go, I'd forget about anything nissan, we've seen it all. SR, RB, CA, KA, all done to death, yes even Rb26's. VG- done, Nissan/Infinity V-8's -VH/VK, been done. 2JZ -unique but been done, GM LT1, LS1/2/3- done. So in order to raise any eyebrows around here, you're either going to have to do any of the above, only a LOT better and cleaner than most, or something truly unique, the latter of which I really can't come up with anything, other than maybe a Mazda rotory, although even this has been done. Maybe a 13G (3 rotor) or 13J (4 rotor)

Drop a viper V10 down into it. Someone around my local area dropped one into a dodge ram, best sounding truck ever.

Was it a Ram SRT-10?

Seriously OP, just build what you want to build. Not what a bunch of smartass know-it-all's (myself included) tell you to do

Just saying a 3rotor is called a 20b and the more popular 4rotor was the 26b, the 13j was built specifically as a Mazda race engine , I think a 20b with a big single turbo would be really unique and pretty sick, I started with rotary before I got into the 240 game.

guys what i am looking for or asking about is what years are most wanted, lighter, easier to get parts for, color, as far as engine which can the most hp be gotten out of by adding bolt on's, i did find a 89, but i like the 92 front end, so can anyone give me some info on that?

the s13's years 89-94 are the lightest, and you can buy the 89 and just look for the 91-94 front bumper and put it on the 89. or buy a 91-94 with it already on there. as far as which model is the lightest of the s13's is the coupe then i believe hatch then vert. dont quote me on that though. for engine choices as far as bolt ons you may want the ls1,rb26, or 2jz. but if your really wanting some power and have the money like your saying. why not get the bugatti 16.4 engine? thats something never done. lol. or i would like to that srt-10 viper engine as posted earlier. that would raise brows.
