so serioudly ive seen coupes wit 18's, 19's, 20's, and sadly 24's but what is the ideal size of rims someone should get for there coupe without it looking ridiculous with too big of a size and without it looking horrible from all that damn rubber from it being too small lol

well i want 18" nismo rims with small a$$ rubber. but the only way to find the ideal wheel is size i think is the stock 17". but i don't like how they look so really it is all up to the person (wonder if some one will lift there A/C and get 30" that would be sick, Spinners!!!!)

i hope ur kidding about that cuz that is not cool AT ALL

anyhow i think 17 is lil too smallthe best bet is light 18's with lowered will be best for the performance wisebut if you arent going to lower ur car i think 19's will look the best

I'm going with 18" wheels, I've got the 2.5 so that's a pretty big improvement over the 16's. Plus they're cheaper. That being said, since no one in their right mind is going to want to buy the stock rims off a 2.5 I'm going to run the rubber off the stock rims before I decide on a set of aftermarket wheels.

if you worried about quality of the ride, don't go w/ slim on the tire side wall, for example going 245/40/19 will give you a bigger side wall than 245/35/19. As far as the "ideal" size, it's all taste and preference. I like how 20s look but the wheels I bought don't come in 20s.

I'm goin 18.. so hopefully that works outwell. I was debating going 17 but its a waste. 19' is a bit much for my blood. 20 is out of the question.

its a personal choice, i think ideal would be eiethr 18 or 19's, performance wise... I'm going with 20's because 18's look like stock rims to me... 19's are very limited in availablilty, and the tires are expensive as heck... in a perfect world, if the wheels i wanted came in 19's, I would have gone with those, but eing that I had to choose between 18's and 20's, I went with 20's

Definitely a personal choice. Hell I dream about what wheels I'm buying for the coupe. For me, I'm going with 18's with 235/45/18s. I'm not going to race it like the other teenage ricers out there and If I do decide to track it, I'll buy volks or rays.

18" is ideal, 19" is ok. Anything over 19" should be illegal on the coupe.

I believe 18's are the best balance of everything: looks, performance, price, tire price, and availability. Some will have a difference in opinion so I'm just giving you mine.

1) Your ride quality/comfort will not suffer going to 18's on 45's.

2) Wheel weight will stay around the same in most cases, unless you go with lighter forged wheels, or heavier chrome wheels.

3) Hugest tire selection and very affordable prices at 18".

Wow, are those the new nismo rims for the altima or are they the ones for the 350z?

18 is the most well balanced. It provides the ideal profile for tires (not too thick, not too thin) and is also ideal in weight (not too heavy). In addition to that, it looks the best (IMO).

18"s all the way.. its the perfect balance bar none!!! anything above that and you start loosing MPG's and performance because of the wheel ratio.

I love 17' IMO. I ran konig ziege's on my acura integra and loved them so when it came time to purchase new rims for the altima I returned to the same company and size!!! 17's all the way!

I don't know if anyone else has done this, but when I bought my 3.5 a/c I had them put the rims from a 3.5se sedan on at no charge. They go quite well with the coupe and give it a much more aggressive look than the stock ones. So.... I'll go with 17's

Yeah those nismo wheels are awesome. Lightweight forged rays wheels. Plus you have to love the 5 spoke look.

Powder coating is expensive in California. I have been trying to find someone who does forged wheels at around 300-325 degrees and a 2 color theme. But its been really hard to find someone who can do that for a good price.

17" rims look alright on smaller stock cars. if you're going to put on a body kit though, i would defenitley go 18 with smaller rubber. and i think 19" is usually just toooo big

...28" spinners though, that's reasonable
