Quote »Stock car vs. modified car. Not a fair comparison.
Blow me, man! Who sets the rules in endurance contests especially when it's done between friends. There's a little more history behind what I posted, but in retrospect to your Quote »Also, not all of care about drag racing (personally, I think drag racing is lame)
You are entitled to your opinion! But I would dare to ask you a question, why are you trying to put a CA18DET in your car, when you can care less about drag racing which actually uses an element of endurance which needs power in which drifters love in which we all want. So what gets you off to make you chuck a CA18DET in your car? But at the same time, I'll school you on a little saying that us organized drag racers say at the track "Run what you brought"....And he did just that!

Quote »you people are so quick to bash hondas i just dont get it.
I don't see how you don't get it. Not everyone here is dissing hondas (for those that seem to take offense), it's just the things some of these kids do with them that is just so funny. And all you loyal ex-vtec supporters need to stop being so sensitive about a little forum humor. I know many guys that rice out there 240s, but the thread was about hondas and a respected member started it, so let the thread have it's day and if you don't like it, just don't participate in it......Plain and simple. Oh yeah, honduhz rule (the junk yards):D .

Quote »I agree dori. That is my only complaint about the CA forum: stuff that should be moved by the mods to the General Chat always gets left in here...I mean really: what the heck does this thread have to do with the CA18/16 engine?!?!
I think it's okay to have a little forum humor. We deserve a break sometimes you know, especially for those of us who contribute to the forum. One bit of advice to those who took offense, lighten up! What have you done to your CA18DET lately to make it better?

So uh...I heard we are bashing honda's...I am HERE :D There's nothing impressive to me about honda motors...no, not even the 1.6 liters that make 185hp etc. Its all through valvetrain trickery and high revs, I'd rather make my power over a fatter powerband lower in the rev range ;)

Besides that, a lot of the honda people pick on each other. Ever go to some of the honda forums and see the crap posted there? They bash each other on a regular basis, so why can't we get our kicks. In case anyone have forgotten, this is a pretty tight community of enthusiasts. Noticed RWD guys haven't started picking on FWD guys. Unlike honda ricers, we CA18 pimps and pimpettes stick together. Sooooo, get in on the joke and have some fun, we're all grown-ups here anyways (I think).

after this past weekend... i have a little more respect for a honda.... what other vehical can launch 4 feet in the air, run for 30 minutes redlined with no coolant and 140k miles, and still run for .4 seconds after a bottle of nos with no regulator running on a 1/4" inside diameter stainless line right into the intake is opened on it? We have video if i can find a way to get it on my computer... Oh and they do not roll sliding sideways down a 60 degree slope either...

Hondas make the baby jesus cry........

I never really had issues with hondas or honda owners until my friend bought a 96 civic ex... and now (4 months later) he's an empty husk of a man who ran an 18.5 @ KCIR and blamed it on a slipping clutch..... ok... fair enough I said.... and then he added "once i get a good one in i think it'll run mid 14's"

:help

All that JUST on a catback and intake? sign me up!
