Well i have an appointment on Monday, at 10am to be exact, with the muffler shop. I am having a [custom] exhaust put in, which is just in time as my current one has a leak somewhere. I was going to get headers too...but the guy said don't bother...what do you guys think? And i'll be sure to put up pics as soon as i can

U know the VG33 has a common problem with leaky headers right? Make sure they find the leak

Yes, i quote "the dreaded exhaust manifold studs" They dont leak on my 99 yet and i have 140k miles. But i have read a lot about it. Basically it is loud on a cold engine but the noise dies down after the exhaust heats up and the metal expands. Does this sound like you?

The VG33s have larger studs than the problematic VG30s. You can still break the studs if the nuts are horribly corroded on, but for the most part there aren't any issues.

That leaky exhaust fueler was talking about is actually caused by a cracked manifold. I haven't heard of as many issues on Pathfinders as on Xterras and Frontiers, but it still seems to happen regardless. Mine were in good shape on my 2000 when I took them out.

Headers on these vehicles are supposed to give a pretty good gain as far as sound and power. Don't expect it to give 30hp, but if you look at the stock ones you'll see that they weren't designed with performance in mind.

I've got a Flowmaster Delta 40 setup that I need to sell that would bolt onto any VG R50...too bad it's huge and won't be shipped.

Actually no! LOL It sounds like a punctured can letting out pressure, but only on [major] acceleration.

Alright well i got the exhaust yesterday...looks great but I'm not crazy about the sound. It's a little too loud for my taste but the guy said give it a week to break in and if i still don't like it he'll put a resonator on. I'll get pics up hopefully in a few hours.

Well the exhaust sounds great now that they put resonators on. I took the pics like last week and now i can't find what i did with them! It's on one of the 4 computers around here and i'm trying to locate them! I'll get them up as soon as i find them...which will hopefully be tomorrow because i finally have some free time

fueler only likes it, but I LOVE it. .

For real, that looks really good, and I'm glad to see the spare still fits. . that would be my ideal exhaust.

Went to American Muffler...it was roughly $500 i can't recall the exact number plus another $100 when i got resonators put on cuz it was a little too loud.

Are you getting any gas mileage/performance increase with that exhaust? Or is it just for sound?

Gas mileage seems to have increased...although i haven't calculated it yet. And response is better.

haha perfect place for me to put a dual exhaust with the spare out and now on the roof! haha. see my little rear view camera in the middle of the rear bumper? its a great help in those hard to see places (aka rocks under me) when im off roading...its hooked up to a 7inch pioneer TV in the dash. just hit the "input button" and i can still listen to music while watching whats behind me.

Im assuming that the dual exhaust you had put on can be applied to my pathfinder aswell, but i have a tow package if i was to send you a picture of the undercarriage of my truck do you think that the shop will be able to tell you if its do-able or not. i plan on heading to the states pretty soon, as i have several cousins in queens i plan on visiting.

let me know please and thank you.you can hit me @http://[email protected]

I'm not much of a purple guy myself but that looks pretty tight. Thanks for the link, for the last few day's I've been trying to find a company that manufactures LED's for my interior. Have you done those or just the reverse lights?

I just did the license plate bulbs but they have a lot of diff bulbs i really like the site. I did however get blue ones for my corner lights in the front but got the wrong color by accident so the front ones are too bright, i had wanted cool blue not bright in your face pull me over blue! LOL I'll get a pic up wheni get home, although it's embarrassing until i switch them back! LOL

I was really impressed with their site and how well organized and easy it is to navigate through. If you post a pic I promise not to laugh well at least not fall off my seat. I think I'm gonna try these guys out for my interior, which bulbs, which ones did you get for the reverse lights? I'm wondering if I replace those with some cool whites will that overexpose my backup camera.

Ohh yeah almost forgot, nice exhaust. How loud is that thing now? Does that affect the performance or MPG?

LOL well even i laughed at the corner lights when i saw them at night But the lights were a direct replacement, i don't remember the number but it has a section on the website that tells you all the bulb numbers for your specific vehicle.

As for the exhaust it's decently louder than stock, i'm going to get a vid up when the weather gets a little nicer, hopefully soon. I haven't calculated the mpg yet but it's the same or a little better. But the response is a bit better now too.
