Beware of the Poh-Lees when riding around in a car like that . You should go back to stock... go with the chuki! The rest of the body kit has got to come off tho.

the orange was actually not bad at all. That black does not look good in my opinion, it actually looks cheap, and cheap=ricer. Again that is just based on the pics and not upclose, but good job getting rid of the spoiler. Dont get me wrong, I like spoilers, but that one just looked disgusting. Good look with the ride and try to make it look good. Go with quality parts and materials not the cheap crap

Yea I had to go through a little bit of the de-rice process too when I first brought my s13 home. Previous owner had painted the center console and radio trim bright electric blue. Oh but its ok because they had the autozone special matching blue and black flame seat covers with "NOS" stitched into them. When exactluy does " uh yea that looks good" cross peoples' minds when they do crap like that?

was taking out the motor part of the de ricing? it looked fine to me lol, except the bad bearing.

and before you took the wing off it looked like a disney world ride.

Good progress so far but instead of JUST burning the wing, light it on fire then BEAT the previous owner with it.

Price paid: 2500When i got the car the guy didnt know what was wrong with it. It had a bad knock. My mechanic friend figured it was only a rod bearing. SO DAY 2. We have the motor out, sure enough its just a rod bearing.

I think the front bumper was to allow more air to flow into the IC. I wonder if you did put the stock bumper back on would it cause heating problems. You can get front bumpers that aren't so rice and still have a big opening for your IC. If you are worried about the molding on the side skirt, you can always go wide body and run wider tires in the rear, but then you can't go stock. Even if your car looks stock the 3" cat back and BOV is going to get plenty attention from the cops. Lucky you on the find. I spent 5k on my sr swap so far and she still doesn't run.

Ya im thinking bout just getting an aftermarket that is close to stock like you said. Haha ya luckily i live in a pretty small town and the cops are pretty laid back around here. thank god.

yeah definitely a deal - I paid $2500 for my (in hindsight) somewhat of a piece 89 240sx.

As for the V mount, I was really looking into doing that with an sr due to what I was reading about increased response, but opted out from the amount of fab needed. Plus, I'm not a big fan of hood scoops on 240sx', but still - that's definitely some of the shortest IC piping I've seen (huge core, too). I also read somewhere that longer pipes stabilize the air, though ... legit vmount info can be hard to find, though

I like the v-mount........not my fav setup, but so long as it works. I think I would do a nitrous or C02 fogger for extra cooling.

as for a new front bumper..... Version Select Aerokit: S13 Silvia Version IV is hot as hell. still keeps the wide front for air induction and you can remove the ugly ****. this would also require a new hood too......

keep up the good work. Def try and make it more low key.

PS anything other than the orange color is going to be alot more work and money to repaint(assuming you are going it the right way) with the engine bay, door jams, and such. think I would rather just clean it up and just have it the orange color.

haha screw that!! I wouldn't want my pimp mobile looking like a FRIKKIN TANGERINE!!

You've got the motor out - time for high heat flat black in dez bay!

See your making progress almost every time I check this thread out - unlike some of the build threads I've read (including mine ha, I haven't even got anything to build to make a build thread) haha

Youve got some balls trying to save a 240 like that. Crazy price though. Nice to see a V-mount. A guy like 4 blocks away from me has a kouki with a V-mount KA-T

I would say the GP sports kit, or the stock Chuki front with Xenon painted lip, then get OEM side skirts, and Kouki tails

yeah, adrians car is FTW

And this doesnt look bad either...

Is it good to have a 15-20 degree angle on your tires?
