I hefted a few last time I was back and they were all very handsome weapons. I thought I knew what was up, but the more I looked at them the more I realized I was out of my depth. Not sure how many different calibers there are. Every one seemed to be a different one!

I could see adding one to the arsenal some day just for variety.

Dad recently traded a small 380 pistol for a Henry lever action 22. But after shooting it I enjoy a semi much more. The lever action shoots great and is really accurate, but they seem much more like a collectible/display piece to me.

May change opinion on a higher caliber when you aren't shooting at a high rate.

In the current market, I'd opt for a marlin. I'd really like one of the 45-70 guide guns. I plan on getting a levergun in .44 mag one day though. Carry cowboy style! It's a very potent chambering in a rifle.
