$5 says you can't guess w/o looking who made the motor that powers that car. And if you can, guess what car was it in.

No looking. Cheating makes baby Jesus cry.

It is a Porsche motor, I wanna say it was in the 944, or 968.

edit: Damn, a little late... I hadn't refreshed yet. 968 headlights are another dead giveaway.

Motor Type Inline 4 Turbo

As for the car, I think he was asking what car the motor was originally from, implying that the motor in that car is not a typical Porsche 968 motor.

A stock Porsche 968 was equipped with a 3.0 liter 4 cylinder; yeah, that's right, a 3.0 liter 4 cylinder . . . quick car, would never feel all that comfortable driving a 4 cylinder with that large a displacement.

And for the record, Porsche had a beauty of a 5.0 liter DOHC V8 in the 928; Tony Montana had one in "Scarface", I've wanted one ever since learning about that car. :-)

ah, you're right. the motor in the car is a I4, but the 968s had an aluminum V8. the car is a 968 though, only with a smaller motor.

oops, thats right, the 928 had a V8. i got the 2 mistaken. as for big I4s, i think Ferrari made a 3.5 litre I4 in one of their old cars.

Hey, I wouldn't care which engine was in either the 928 or 968 as long as I had one. :-)

Interesting to know what that Ferrari I4 though . . . I'll have to look stuff up. :-)

well, it's not a 4.0 from a Jeep that's for sure.

I'm gonna say S20 as well because I've never really seen one and it's not an L motor.

badass little motor. basically a detuned version of the R380s motor. i think JUN actually still makes parts for it, but im not sure. that would be pretty funny walking into a nissan dealership asking for a head gasket for one. however, i've always wanted to walk into a rice shop and ask for a gasket or something the S20 in my 2000GTR. they'd probly go "uh, its sARRR20 and the 2000GTRs have an RB26....duh"
