i hardly ever reply to the newbies. ya'll do all the flaming for me : ) i try to be nice when i do reply though. i don't even look to see if they're new in the first place. but alot of times they're like "hey guys, yea i'm a newbie, blah blah"

That's funny... no one that replied except DSM has been here for more than a month... that kinda makes ya'll new as well...!!! Not that I've been here very long..... but I started here the day it opened... and I was on the old boards for almost a year.... wow sounds like I'm bragging... I'm such a loser..

Anyway... I agree with Fred.... some of the older newbies are kinda nasty to the newer newbies... does that make any sense?

As long as you were just kidding tino... i couldnt tell with that little "priceless" thing running too. And as for not responding to any of your posts i am now forced to as my inflammatory ring statements and threads are now destroyed...

And while i may have been on this bb for a month i was a member of the old one for quite some time, then i changed my name/pass when it moved.

Just because somebody don't have 5000 posts that doesn't mean that is a newbie.I been in this forum for over a year(when the old one was up) and you see I only have 15. I'm a grown as men and most of the time I'm in the streets not in the computer like a nerd talking sh*t to people.

This isnt going to sound good but i forgot what my old name was. All i remember was that my computer had been hit by a virus and it took me a while to get it functional again, and when i got back online the bb had moved and my old name and pass wouldnt let me log in so i made up this one. If anyone remembers i was the only one to start a thread on the pivot and how the thing only came with japanese instructions...but that was a long time ago. Honestly, im not bsing! I might have had the same name, i really cant remember... 89 something...

OK iv dug through my thousands of emails and found ones from the old board... Ironically i have one from you, maineimport, or that you responded to my topic which was Pivot "Sleepy Silvia" look .. dated 6/27/02. I deleted all the ones before that. Thats the most i can do to prove i was there guys...

okay maybe the older dudes with less posts need to nicer to the older guys with more posts....heheh....what is this old board you guys are all talking about? is that the old 240 mailing list? if it is i'm a veteran too!

anyways i'm fairly new to this board(and it seems a rare case that no one has dogged on me yet, as so many newbies are)...i enjoy reading other 240 owners opinions and comments and know-how(even the new guys)...but i have noticed that there are a few members here that are awfully harsh to new members, new owners etc.

and i never say anything about it but damn some of you guys(which i noticed none of them have posted here, ONE in particulaur) need to lighten up.

this forum is about sharing your knowledge and opinions and at the same time learning from others. i'm not much of a mechanic but i do quite a bit of drifting. if someone asks a simple question about drifting im not gonna unload on them...i hope that i can help the most i can...and i hope if i ever ask a question about mechanics(that may seem stupid to someone with a vast knowledge of mechanics) i hope that they don't flame on me and just help me out.

sorry about the long post but this has bothered me for a while.thanks:D

NO dude... I wasn't looking for proof... I was just curious because I wanted to know if you were someone I remember from over there. I remember the sleepy silvia thread...... I seriously just wanted to know...... I really wasn't trying to bust your balls... I believed you....I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.... and why would someone lie to ME about something as silly as this.

The "old board" was at NICO before its new incarnation. It was also a link from 240sx.org. The whole NICO sight moved to this format in July. We had a bulletin board there as well, but it was a lot less extensive (and easier to navigate :pface ).
