My name's Jeff. As of a month ago I'm the proud owner of a 2002 Pathfinder LE blue with black leather.

Just wanted to say HI. I'm a Nissan fan for life. I've had a turbo 4 door sentra in the past(RIP) and current have a turbo 240SX KA24DE-T.

I'm currently working on a writeup for The ULTIMATE Fog light mod. Basic run down is: They turn on with the parking lights, Stay on with the low beams, stay on when you switch on the high beams. Auto setting still works. The battery saver module will still cut them off if you leave your lights on. And the fog switch will turn them off if you want them off. I love it because it uses all the automatic features the truck already has.

Fuelerwhats different in your mod that allows the fogs to stay on when the highbeams are on? Very Interested.

it involves modifying the foglight relay... on the relay, there is the power source that clicks it on and off (not the constant power) (sorry i dont know the lingo) well in the stock configuration, that relay on/off power source is run strictly by the low beams... meaning that the fog lights will turn off if you are running the high beams or just parking lights (anything other than low beams).... what you do is cut off the metal tab on that on/off power source and solder in a wire that runs to some other power source, one that is always hot when the car is on and cold when the car is off. (so the fogs turn off when you pull the key out) I ran mine to some neighbor relay that says AC and it works.

I used a radio shack relay for the mod cause i didnt want to butcher the nissan relay.... so i have my original spare laying around... high beams on and fog lights on is the brightest of them all.... (before i did the mod, low beams with fogs on would be brighter than high beams with fogs off)

NICE! welcome to NICO!!My fogs would turn off with the acc, and turn on with it on. I could have them on by themselves, parking lights, low, hi, whatever. No worries about leaving them on.

edit: see above - I did with Fueler did.I actually no longer have a Nissan. First time ever. But I learned from this and added fogs to my new vehicle, and went about it in a similar fashion.

I know, but there are others here who drive things like Civics, with no Nissan at all. At least Subaru has shared parts with Nissan since '85.

'sides, I'll get another one, I just couldn't afford to go to work anymore.

I just did the "old school" fog light mod. I wanted to use mine as DRL's so I have complete control over my fogs lights. I wired them to the A/C relay so they would only come on with the ignition so I wouldn't drain the battery.

I took lots of pics and plan on posting the procedure soon so we have it on this board.

I'd love to see body80's "new school" mod. It sounds like one a lot of folks would like.

Very nice color indeed.I chose silver because I noticed the rear wind deflector was not on the window sticker, and thought I got a little better deal (free deflector). There are too many silvers around...

Is there a code about fog light that is not supposed to turn on when headlight is not on? I forgot where I read such thing.

Some states require that the lights only function when the low beams are on. Guys who live in those parts of the country keep the stock relays handy so they can pop them back in to pass the annual vehicle inspections.
