Post

Hi everyone. I have been browsing this forum for a couple of weeks now and trying to learn as much as I can about the car. I am currently dealing on a silver 98 Touring Q45 with 118000km on it (around 68000miles). These cars are quite rare up hear in Canada so there aren't too many to pick from. I will know in a couple of days if she is mine.

Now a little back ground on me. I just sold my 04 Subaru WRX STi because I have had it for 3 years now and my wife needed a car so for the amount that I was paying for my STi I can afford 2 cars. Now don't worry. I didn't sell my rocket and leave my garage empty. I also have a 93 Mazda Rx-7 that has about 500hp. I have a lot of money in this car. I just finished doing a single turbo upgrade on it. People ask how much money I have in the car and I reply "I could of bought a viper or Z06 already" but I love my japanese cars. Below I have attached a pic of the Rx-7 next to the now late STi. Hopefully I will have some useful things to add to this forum; but if not there will definitly be a lot of questions.

R.K.

Welcome to NICO. You will love the Y33.

I would suggest getting the 4.08 rearend before you start FI.

I love the 1993 Rx7. When the twing turbo first came out, I went to the dealership to try a test drive. They refused. Mazda has always been kinda stuffy about it. I bitched about not geting to drive the first Miata without buying it, and then they wouldn't let me drive the 929, unless I put down a deposit. I asked the guy how he sold cars with out a test drive. He finally let me test drive the car. It was amazing. The turbos spooled ups so smoothly I couldn't tell when the second one kicked it. If I ever find one with a decent motor in it, I may jsut have to scoop it up. Yours is beautiful!

Post pics of the Q when you get it.

Hows it going Kevin? Ya the deal fell through on the silver 98. They wanted way too much for it. I've got my eyes on a grey 01 Anniversary but it doesn't have any fobs nor the floor mats, the books aren't there along with the service records, plus it has no spoiler and on top of that I'm almost positive that it hasn't had the 96000km major service (which is $800). So I don't know. I would love to get on from the states but I'm affraid of buying something I can't see in person. I have a buddy in San Diago looking for me. I guess I will have to be patient and wait.

So I found a 99 black touring. I made a offer and they accepted it pending an inspection at the Infiniti dealer. I guess I will know the outcome in a couple of days.

Hot RX7! It has the same wheels as Kevin's Q.I had an '86 RX7 GXL 12 years ago as my first car and was contantly dreamt about the '93 many nights.

All right. It looks like I finally found her. Its a black on black 99 q45 t without the spoiler (i'm starting to dig the no spoiler look). It has 88000miles on it and it was a one owner car. The guy was a 74 year old that just traded it in on a new Lexus. I got them to do a inspection at Infiniti and the only thing that was wrong is the driver side seat motor is a little noisey and it needs new wiper blades. I can't wait. I will be sending the money tomorrow and then it will be shipped out next Friday. They say it will take 10-12 days to get here. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing but respect for the RX-7, coming from my (very recent) teenage years where I fawned over them.
