pass on my experience. my 90 240sx 5 speed w/ ac had the idle dropping really lowwhenever I came up to a stop. For a long time it wasn't dying, but finally itwas dropping so low it died regularly. After futzing around trying to diagnosethe idle control system, I noticed that there are two cables coming in - one is theaccelerator, and the other is some kind of throttle positioner. Both were loose-when I tightened them up, the problem went away! I don't know if they stretchedor what.
I'm still trying to track down a power window problem (posted at the online mechanic)and an A/C problem - when it loads up, there's a big shuddering - if you shut itoff and wait a bit, when you turn the A/C back on it goes away. I've been toldthis is likely a slipping compressor belt, so I replaced the belt. The problem is better but not gone, and I'm afraid if it tighten the compressor belt too much it wiwill kill the bearings. Any thoughts?
Thanks
