i've been doing alot of reading on here, and people seem to list over and over the part guides, but i have one question. what are the parts you really need to get the sr20det swap in a 95' 240sx up and running?

SR Engine, SR transmission, SR downpipe, SR MAFS, SR igniter chip, SR ECU, SR engine wiring, SR radiator or conversion hose kit, intercooler and piping.

then why do people choose to buy all those extra parts for then?

Some times its a good idea to replace certain parts, like belts and oil pump, you know stuff thats good to replace while the engine is out of the bay anyway. At times some vendors like to upsell and bump you, meaning they want to sell you better/more parts. Thats why...

few more questions, now im more leaning towards sr20 now, and i was wonder cause i was planning to swap a rb into it but i didnt want a headache so do i still need the custom driveshaft, and motor mounts? along with the x member? or is it a direct fit swap?

-what do i need? list please list or ill just search thanks

SR can be used with KA drive shaft, KA crossmember, and KA engine mounts. They are all SR/KA interchangable parts.

omg thank you, do you have a sr swap too? and also im pretty much saving a sh(T load on the whole thing right (sr20det) instead of rb25det

Yes your costs associated with an RB will be much higher as compared to an Sr20 swap
