Ok, I am confused. Months back in the planning stages of 2F2F they were talking about using Craig Leiberman's skyline aka the blackbird which he purchased from the president of MotoRex. Numerous magazines did articles on it and the specs said it was built like a mo'fo'. He riced it up a bit with hella stickers and stuff but it still retained all the stuff MotoRex did to it and was supposed to be fast. Now SCC has tested all the cars from the movie and said that it was slow. Did they test a body double which actually got driven for most of the movie or did they actually test the car? Or did they even use it at all?

corperate rice, he has made being a poser pay. Thumper could kill about any car I saw in the preview except the real-deal musclecars of course. No stickers, no neon and no propane flamer in the muffler, just an RB20DET with a big FMIC, GT-R fuel pump, RB25 turbo and a boost up. I don't mind the ricey looks of the cars but can they at least be fast?

Hmmm...how about supercharger instead? :D

For some reason superchargers always make me think of kick *** australian muscle cars...Mad Max style.

no good new age trurncoat who sold everyone out. He claims to not of had any control of the movie, but it was his own decision to do work for them. He plaid out the skyline just as he played out the supra. Its a damn shame. Its like SCC trying to be more like superstreet and vice versa. I could go on and on, but it would be pointless.

Ya, i was not to impressed with the movie at all. I thought the skyline was going to run out of nitrous before it got to the starting line it was purging so much. I also like how they only had it in ther for like 5 minutes. But they did great work showing the Folgers coffee sponsorship ;)

A few corrections: It wasn't built like a mofo it was NOS'd out like a mofo. I think the only thing Craig retained from buying the car was the N1 body kit. He put smaller turbos on and a lot of NOS + APC stickers. I'm pretty sure the car is slow because the movie producers/stunt drivers thrased the **** out of every car/double in that movie. However if you actually read the SCC article you would have noticed Universal disabled the front differential on the skyline making it RWD only, greatly slowing the car down. It doens't really matter anyways, I gaurentee we will be seeing that skyline on ebay here shortly just like what Craig did with the Supra after the first movie.

Well, I can see how that would make it have less traction for a launch. But, if anything, it should make the car FASTER with less driveline power loss.

Either way.. I agree that the car was whored out for the movie... but I'd still drive it... every day.... gladly.

Craig is just out to get paid. I would rice out some cars for a movie as long as I was getting paid. Think what he and these movies have done for body kit, muffler, and big metal wing companies.

^^:Werd people have got to realize this, and not take one man's moves so personally. The cold fact is that he is in a business which doesn't really allow for *purists*.

His cars are in movies... a multi billion dollar business. You'd do what you were told too. Don't say you wouldn't.

they are right he was just doing business. I found a article from an interview with him that shows he hates everything they did to his car. Here you go http://www.nissanperformancema...rman/

I absolutly hate riced out honda's. But I would build them all day long with body kits, flashy paint, metal wings, and a butt load of decals for the money he's making.

Don't hate the player, just because you don't like the game. (Saw that on a movie trailer, I think it was Will Smith, in Bad Boys II>)

thats exactly why the ricer shops stay open longer then tuner shops !!! they cater to the masses not just the few of us with money and a mind for performance

. hell if i had money i would and somtimes if i have a lil extra run by the local shop i like the most just to buy somthin i dont even need just to help out any ! stuff i can get online cheap somtimes ill goto them just to give them my business and make that relationship stroner, hell you never know when youll need somthing and since you shown interest in buying from them hang out shoot the sh_it with them they will start to go out of their way to help you in a tight situation!
