I'm saving up this summer to buy a nice sports car. Since every other car is ridcioulously fast, lame, or require too much matince, so the car I want is a Nissan Silvia Q's or K's from Japan. One thing thats stopping me though is that I live in California where we have visual inspection where they check the database for that engine, and from what I know, the CA18DET nor the SR20DET were realesed in the US, so it would fail. Is they're a way I can still pass or do I have to yank out the JPN engine in favor for a KA24DE?

The only way (in california) to get a legalized "insert cool JDM car's name here" is to pay though the *** and get it from someone who has the paperwork and facilities to get cars from jap land and legalize em.
