I own a 1990 240sx and have had it for about 7 months and loved it. I have an auto which I plan on making a manual soon (I found this car with 42k and since it was an auto the engine is in PERFECT condition). Anyways I plan to do some drifting once I get the manual swap done and I realized that at my height which is 6' 7" I can't get my leg under the wheel to heel-toe. Is there anyways I can move the steering wheel about 4-6" towards me? I will replace the steering wheel if nessary. Does anyone know how???

i don't know, i'm on the borderline of 5'10", and my knees still rub the steering wheel sometimes. not like i'm gonna complain though. 6'7" though, damn, you're just out of luck. our cars are made for short asian/white people, not like i'm stereotyping..

one option would be a hot rod style extending/tilt column, but i dont know how well that would fit....you could also try simply extending the steering rod...if i was that tall i'd just yank the front seat and sit in the back though :)ast - discovered tonight that he doesnt fit in the back seat of his car...Good thing i'm single.

well, the only reason i even said white, was because i'm white, but what i meant was that asian people are normally short, so that's why all the asian sports cars are stubby. american sports cars like camaros and such have a lot of leg room.

holy **** dude, im 6'1" and taller than 99% of the people I know, your just freaken huge! I would suggest getting a limo and pulling out that divider wall, sit in the back and have the steering wheel and pedals extended, and drifting that.

just take out the front seat, and sit on the back seat, you should be able to reach the pedals from back there : )

some of the guys on supraforums want to see a bus drift, now that would be something I'd pay to see.

Wll in one of the option mags my friend has, there are a bunch of pics of a lifted tacoma with an SR in it drifting on some big fat 35" mud tires. That was kinda cool...

And on topic: I am about 5'11" but I am a big fat bastard with huge feet so I can't heel toe either. All I do is put my foot on the side of the prake pedal and then kinda rotate it so I can hit the gas at the same time.

Well what i think I will end up doing is replacing the streeing wheel and when I do that I will add an extention about 5 in. This is if I'm thinking right, when you remove the streeing wheel there are 6 bolts? And i could just make an extention from the 6 bolts and then bolt the steering when into the extention?

I'm glad I dont have to worry about that problem....I wish I was at least 5'5....but I'm not. I'm 5'3. Maybe you'll figure something out.
