i bought this car a little while ago with a junk title and ive been slowly making it better and better before the reconstructed title comes in.ive gotten all of the important issues 'road worthy' problems fixed and over with and now ive moved on to the stereo. its the stock head unit and speakers. the right side speakers work fine but the left ones dont do anything at all. the digital screen that says the radio stations and what not doesnt quite read out the numbers too great and the whole head unit in general seems kind of shady. what do you think is the problem here?

im hoping its the head unit so that when i change it out, the problem will be fixed, but maybe its a wire or something

help is appreciated

did you try different speakers and check all the wiring?

Well, there's a couple ways to tell. Depends on how everything is hooked up. If it's an aftermarket setup you might be able to splice in the left speakers on the right channel. That will test the wiring and speakers. Just make sure to disconnect the right ones first.

If everything is nice and neat in connectors you can take the right speaker and try it on the left side. That won't tell you if there's something wrong with the wiring, only if there's something wrong with the left speaker.

No matter which way you go, you need to check the wires going to the left speaker and make sure that there are no breaks or cuts.

If you're on the stock Tape deck head unit.... CHANGE IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Then deal with bad wiring or bad speaker afterwards...

Hope that helped.
