left side speakers doesnt work and skipping

my left side speakers doesnt work and i installed new ones today. what could be the problem? also every time theres heavy bass my speakers would skip on the sound and its annoying as hell. my fade is put on -5 to -6 so it wouldnt happen. what could be that problem?

Check your connectors and wires, sounds like its grounding out somewhere.
