I installed kyb agx adjustables and tein s-tech springs about 2 months ago, installation went smoothly, no problems up until 2 days ago. I go to pick up my car from the parking lot at school where it has been sitting for the past 2 weeks, and now whenever i take a left turn, i get a creaking/almost popping sound from the left rear. When I got home I checked it out, torqued down all the bolts and made sure nothing was out of line, but it still did it.

any ideas?

thx

Possibly strut mount bearings have manifested themselves, they will pop and groan when your turn you wheels at low speeds, esp. when pulling out of your driveway and such. Don't blame the shop, it's totally normal for them to be shot for the car's age.

PDM has OEM ones for a good pricehttp://www.pdm-racing.com

We dont have strut bearings for the rears since they do not rotate much, if at all. The creaking could be from the coils binding, most lowering springs have a few turns of coil that do nothing other than collapse when weight is put on them; that is how most springs "drop" your car. The point where the dead coils and active coils meet is the source of the noise. The coils rub against each other as you go over bumps. If you take the assembly off the car and inspect the springs you should be able to see rubbing marks on a part of the spring. You will need to get some kind of coil wrap to prevent coil on coil rubbing. PDM carries the whiteline coil-wrap, which seems like a good product, I have never used it myself though.

EDIT: Being the oh - so clever individual that I am.. just noticed we are saying "strut bearings" when infact the rear uses shocks.... If we had a bearing for the rear it would be "shock bearing"... doesnt sound right anyway!!!
