Left Header for 99.5 Pathies

First off, welcome backk 88path, where in hell did you go? I pop on here and there are 10 topics in a row where you're the last poster.

Secondly, does anyone know why I can suddenly find the right header for a 1999 Pathy/QX4 but can't find a left one? Very strange. I spent a couple months looking and didn't find any for my year. Now I looked at random and found a couple of places that have the right header but not the left.

Is the left one interchangeable with previous years? Or did someone just stumble onto a stockpile of right headers for 96-99?

this may be a serious n00b question but, how do you know your header cracks? does the O2 censor code pop up or something??

That's a manifold, not a header.

A cracked manifold/header will leak exhaust into the engine compartment. It's not too healthy for your driving experience. You can usually hear if your manifold/header is cracked since you'll hear a minute amount of pure exhaust sound, which is loud, very loud.
