hi, my left fog light on my 06 qx56 not working...can u let me know what steps i should take to fix? do i check fuses first? is that under the hood or in the car?

sorry, i'm clueless with cars...

EDIT UPDATE...JULY 2011 (BOUGHT REPLACEMENTS IN DEC 2010)

ok...i'll will post this in the first post of this thread as well...

so i ended up buying these replacement bulbs on ebay on dec 20. ebay won't let me pull up the item, but it was some cheap generic brand, cost about $15 -20. 3 months after installed the right (bulb), the left one went out. so i then installed the left one.

it's now been about 7 months since i put the right one in, and it's now out! i live in canada, but my car is a US car, so the fog ligts were converted into day time running lights. could this be one of the reasons that the bulbs aren't lasting? or is it because the bulbs are so cheap? or could it be something else faulty with the car?

i am now going to buy replacement bulbs again...and as much as i dont want to pay alot, i dont want to end up replacing after 6 months again..here's what i found on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/H3-55W-4700k-White-H ... 3cb9b943a0

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Hyper-White-H3-12V-5 ... 2c5dbdbc97

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Xenon-HID-Kit-H3-800 ... 19c6d6bff1

http://cgi.ebay.ca/8K-H3-Xenon-HID-Fogl ... 5d2b9404d2

the last one has like a bunch of different ones, 8k, 10k, etc..

PLEASE HELP!

i just wanted to say thanks again. i ordered the fog light bulbs online (got two), and i was able to install it using the directions above...no problems whatsover...it was so easy, that i cringe just thinking about how much it would've cost if i had taken it to infiniti - which my wife was begging me to go since she knows how "un-handy" i am...

showed that b@#$@ what's up huh...lol (j/k babes)...

Now would be a good time to replace both fog light bulbs with the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs. Those are a lot "whiter" and will appear closer to the factory HID bulbs you have on your QX56. They are available at most auto stores such as Advance or Autozone.
